Summer Shakespeare Program
The Stella Adler Outreach Division is seeking NYC high school students for the
Summer Shakespeare program
Who: 14 to 17 year old NYC high school students who are interested in acting. This program prioritizes serving students who are low-income and/or those who do not have theater programs at school.
What: A five-week summer training program that culminates with a public performance. Students will observe advances classes and study Adler Technique, Voice & Speech and Movement for Actors; they will apply the skills learned to act in an abbreviated Shakespeare play. Two groups of 11 (twenty-two students total) will be selected to participate.
When:
July 6 - August 6, 2010
Group A: Mondays-Thursdays from 12 noon to 2pm
Group B: Mondays-Thursdays from 3pm to 5pm
Groups A and B: Fridays from 12 noon to 3pm
Final Performance: Friday, August 6, 2010
Students must be available for ALL classes and performances.
