The Stella Adler Arts Justice Division currently offers two free actor training programs for New York City high school students who demonstrate financial need and a need for arts exposure.
Adler Youth
What Is The Program?
A free, year-long acting and theater training program. Classes meet six hours a week, on Saturdays in downtown Manhattan. This is a one-year program with a second year by invitation.
What Is The Commitment?
Students must be available for the full year, and must attend all classes. The program runs from October to May.
Summer Shakespeare
What Is The Program?
A free summer intensive, culminating in a production of an abbreviated Shakespeare play. Students train five days a week in voice, movement, ensemble work and scene study.
What Is The Commitment?
Students must be available for the full program, and must attend all classes. The program runs through July and August.
