Gabriel Wassif
Gabriel Wassif is a Brooklyn-born, Egyptian-Colombian actor. Raised by NYC and his mother, the product of two immigrant parents from two capitals, Gabriel understands the importance of nurturing one’s identity. The stories his mother told him at a young age, stories told by her grandmother, have had such a profound effect on his life that he committed himself to being a storyteller.
After an introduction to acting in high school, he set out to devote himself to this great exploration of the human condition, landing at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. There, he participated in Summer Shakespeare’s production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, playing Theseus/Oberon, and trained at Adler Youth. Subsequently, he auditioned for the Evening Conservatory where he currently attends, and will graduate in June.
Additionally, Gabriel is double majoring in philosophy, and English at Brooklyn College— just another means of studying the humanity that fascinates him.
