Professional Conservatory
The two Professional Conservatories are the heart and soul of the Stella Adler Studio, the culmination of Stella’s vision for complete acting training. In these programs, students gain tools and techniques to better engage their imagination, to analyze text deeply and accurately, and to create rich, specific characters.

Summer Programs
Every summer the Stella Adler Studio opens its doors and attracts students from around the country and the world who participate in Summer Intensive courses. These classes enhance students’ skills via world-class training and introduce them to the cultural capital of the world.

NYU BFA Tisch Program
In 1969, The Stella Adler Studio of Acting became the first professional training school affiliated with New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts Undergraduate Drama Department. The program has continued since, leading students to a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, combining academic studies at New York University with professional training at the Studio.

Part-time Workshops

Teen Programs
The Stella Adler Teen Conservatory is designed to give young actors quality actor-training taught by the same faculty as Conservatory and NYU Tisch School of the Arts Program. Students will learn core acting elements that provide a bedrock for a responsible actor. For ages 14-18.

Musical Theater Programs
The Stella Adler Musical Theatre Department combines core Adler training, fundamental musical theatre skills taught by working professionals, and an immersion into the development of new musical theatre pieces. All of the studio’s musical theatre faculty are working on Broadway, off-Broadway, in television & film, bringing the latest trends and practices into the studio as well as creating tangible opportunities for our students to find work.
