Alumni Opportunities

Rite of passage: student to alumnus

When you graduate from the studio, you are making an important transition from being a student to being an alumnus of the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. The studio is here to support you in your growth, whether you pursue a career in the theater or not. The studio’s cultural center and many programs will support and challenge you and encourage your growth for years and decades to come. Here are just a few ways to stay engaged:

Think like an alumnus:

Include the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in your bio.

Stay connected via social media, e-mail, art series and alumni events.

Keep your contact information current with the studio. Alumni are eligible for special offers, discounts to Harold Clurman Laboratory Theater Company shows and more. E-mail the studio to notify us if you have new contact information.

Share your news using the form that’s here.

Join the official Stella Adler Studio alumni group on Facebook to connect with over 1000 alums.

Consider the studio your artistic home. You are always welcome.

Other resources and opportunities:

If you are looking for a meaningful, long-term volunteer opportunity consider the Stella Adler Outreach Division. Outreach seeks volunteers at the start and finish of each semester and needs volunteers who can make longer term commitments to programs too.

If you are interested in writing, the Harold Clurman Playwrights Division is a branch of the studio that annually accepts submissions from emerging playwrights. Volunteers are needed to help read scripts. Writers with complete work are invited to apply for the annual residency.

If you are considering teaching, reach out to a department head to talk about learning and training opportunities.

If you are interested in making a commitment and directing resources toward the studio’s long-term growth, please consider joining the Junior Board : Emerging Leaders Circle.
