Andréa is currently delighting Broadway audiences as the saucy “Daniela” of In The Heights the Tony Award-winning Best Musical of 2008. Her debut solo album “A Deeper Shade of Red” has thrilled her fans as well as Stephen Suskind of Playbill.com who describes it as “superb on all counts”. A diversified artist, Andréa made a splash on the dance music charts in 2006 with “100 Stories”- a single she co-wrote with her brother, Mike Burns. Andréa began her career touring the opera houses of Europe as Maria in West Side Story when she was 18 years old. Broadway: Beauty and the Beast, The Full Monty, The RItz. Off-Broadway credits include: Jason Robert Brown’s Songs for a New World and Stephen Sondheim’s Saturday Night. National Tours: Parade (National Broadway Award nomination), The Full Monty, Company. A versatile actress, Andréa has played a variety of roles across this country ranging from Dot in Sunday in the Park with George (Joseph Jefferson Award nomination) to Eva Peron in Evita to Laurey in Oklahoma! Television credits include a recurring role on the new “Electric Company” on PBS , “Law & Order: SVU”, “Rescue Me”, as well as the animated series “Wonderpets.” Andrea can also be heard on the original cast recordings of In The Heights, Songs for A New World, Saturday Night, It’s Only Life, and Dear Edwina.
