Dayle Towarnicky

Voice & Speech

Dayle teaches Voice, Speech, Accents, and Dialects at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. She also acts as Voice Support on 3rd and 4th year productions. She holds a MA with Distinction in Professional Voice Practice from the Birmingham School of Acting in the United Kingdom. Dayle has Somatic training relating to voice work, and is a Certified Practitioner of the Feldenkrais Method®.  Dayle is a recurring dialect coach with the Hudson Stage Company and has also taught with The Broadway Experience and the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey. In 2012, Dayle taught voice and text to the Brett Goldin Bursary Actors at the Royal Shakespeare Company. She has participated in master classes with renowned voice teachers/coaches including Cicely Berry, Andrew Wade, Lyn Darnley, Kristin Linklater, Barbara Houseman, Edda Sharpe, Christina Shewell, and others. Dayle holds a BFA with Honors in Drama from NYU Tisch and did her studio training with The Stella Adler Studio of Acting, studying voice and speech with Alithea Phillips for three years. Dayle acted in Joan Evan’s original production of Decade at a Glance in the 2009 Harold Clurman Festival of the Arts. Currently, Dayle is continuing her speech and dialect training with  Knight-Thompson Speechwork (KTS). She has completed KTS Experiencing Speech and the KTS Phonetics Intensive. Expected KTS certification in July of 2019. Proud member of the Voice and Speech Trainers Association (VASTA), the International Feldenkrais Federation (IFF), and the Feldenkrais Guild of North America (FGNA).
