Fay Simpson

Fay Simpson is the Founder of the Lucid Body, a physical process for actors based on the exploration of the seven chakra energy centers. She is an Associate Arts Professor at NYU’s Graduate Acting Program, and has been the Artistic Director and co-founder of Impact Theatre (now Lucid Body Lab) since its creation in 1990. 
Her studio, Lucid Body House opened in 2013, in Manhattan. Fay has taught at The Yale School of Drama, The The New School, and The Actor’s Center among others. She coaches both privately for stage/TV/and film in New York, London and Berlin. She has a teacher training program now in place. www.lucidbody.com. Last spring, Fay received a Fellowship from the Likhachev Foundation in St. Petersburg, Russia, followed by a teaching tour in Moscow, Berlin, London and Paris.  In 1999, Ms. Simpson was awarded a Fox Foundation Fellowship, at the New Globe Theatre in London under the artistic directorship of Mark Rylance. Ms. Simpson ‘s book, The Lucid Body; A Guide for the Physical Actor was hailed by Drama Book Shop as “one of the ten most essential books for the actor.” She is a member of the Actor’s Center.
