Kern McFadden

Director of Admissions

As a director Kern has been working at the studio since 2016.  In addition to other professional directing he has also helped direct and develop a new play for the Shakespeare Festival of St. Louis based on the young adult novel The Thousand Natural Shocks.  Kern is also the writer and creator of the independent web series #ThatThingFromBefore, for which he is currently in production for season two.  Kern holds an MFA from  the USD/Old Globe Actor Training Program and a BFA from The Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University.  As an actor: New York Theatre; The Pearl Theatre Company (The Misanthrope, A Moon for the Misbegotten) The Irish Repertory Theatre (Juno and the Paycock, Donnybrook!, The Banished Children of Eve) REDBULL THEATRE (Wild Oats -Revelation Readings) MCC (FreshPlay Festival).  Regional Theatre: The North Coast Repertory Theatre, St. Louis Repertory Theatre, Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Public Theatre of Maine, The Old Globe,  La Jolla Playhouse, The Gulfshore Playhouse, Milwaukee Shakespeare, Utah Shakespeare Festival, Kentucky Shakespeare Festival, American Players Theatre and Great River Shakespeare Festival.
