Mark Fifer

Music Director

In Broadway circles they refer to him as “the rock guy,” and it is indeed the long and winding road that brought Mark Fifer to New York City.  With firm roots in the classical and rock idioms (and making all stops in-between), Mark brings unique perspectives to the profession of singing on stage.  As Musical Director, he has overseen NYC and regional productions of The Who’s Tommy, Rent, Fame – The Musical (Macao, China), The Rocky Horror Show, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Hello Again, Bare, Cabaret, All Shook Up, Spelling Bee, Violet, and many more, including readings/workshops of various new works.  With his friend (and Hedwig star) Jason St. Little, he co-created Tits Fisher with Kitten’s Kiss, a rock cabaret Voltaire – returning to NYC in June 2013!  Mark serves as vocal coach and transcriber to countless singers with Broadway, Off-B’way and pop music/studio credits.  As arranger/producer, Mark has helmed many NYC studio projects.  He has scored numerous film and TV spots, most recently the new web series The Flaming Chef and the TV pilot Drama Mamas.  He also currently serves as Vocal Director for Carnival Cruise Lines entertainment division.  Mark and his wife Bess, a casting director, reside in Manhattan.
