Suzy Petcheam

Director of Field Programs

A graduate of Pace University, with a BFA in Acting, Suzy came to the Stella Adler Studio of Acting through her participation, as a student, in the Phoenix House Theatre Project.  She currently serves as the Director of Outreach Field Programs creating, cultivating and leading education based programs for at-risk and under-served youth in multiple public and alternative schools. She also cultivates and manages an outreach program that serves multiple facilities on Rikers Island, Manhattan Detention Complex, Twin Towers with the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department, and Phoenix House, the country’s largest drug and alcohol rehabilitation center.  She is currently leading and serving as the Director of the OutSideIN Theatre Project – the city’s first re-entry arts internship program. She works very closely with the Department of Corrections to create consistent arts programming with Youthful Offenders and Adults. A committed Actor Warrior, Suzy manages the Adler Ambassadors, a volunteer team of Conservatory students and Alumni, working within Outreach, while also managing an ambitious and dedicated faculty that bring our mission of heaing and compassion to all of our students on a daily basis.
